posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
The September issue of Shueisha's V Jump magazine revealed on Friday that Krillin and Piccolo are joining the roster of playable characters in Arc System Works and Bandai Namco Entertainment's Dragon Ball FighterZ 2D fighting game.
Arc System Works will open signups for a closed beta test on July 26. The test will be available for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and will have nine playable characters available. (The previous version shown and demoed during E3 in June only had six characters.)
Aside from Krillin and Piccolo, the playable cast includes Goku (Super Saiyan), Teen Gohan (Super Saiyan 2), Vegeta (Super Saiyan), Future Trunks (Super Saiyan), Freeza (Final Form, Golden Freeza), and Cell (Perfect Form).
Bandai Namco Entertainment America describes the game:
Arc System Works delivers an explosive, action-packed game that combines classic 2D fighting with advanced 3D character models that look and feel as if they are ripped straight out of the DRAGON BALL series.
The three-versus-three fighting game will arrive on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in early 2018.
Update: Bandai Namco America posted screenshots featuring Piccolo and Krillin.
