North American publisher Vertical announced on Tuesday that it has licensed Tomofumi Ogasawara's Gundam Wing: The Glory of Losers (New Mobile Report Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz: The Glory of the Losers) and Keiichi Arawi's Helvetica Standard manga.
Gundam Wing: The Glory of Losers launched in Kadokawa's Gundam Ace magazine in September 2010 as an adaptation of the 1995 Gundam Wing television anime. It incorporates elements from the Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz OVA, Gundam Wing: Episode Zero manga, and Gundam Wing: Frozen Teardrop novel series. Gundam Wing: Frozen Teardrop began serialization in Gundam Ace one month before Gundam Wing: The Glory of Losers.
Ogasawara draws the manga and Gundam Wing writer Katsuyuki Sumisawa is credited with the scenario. Kadokawa published the 12th compiled volume on January 26. The manga is ongoing.
Arawi's Helvetica Standard four-panel color manga ran in Kadokawa's Newtype magazine. Kadokawa released a compiled volume in 2011, and later released a sequel volume, Helvetica Standard E, in 2014.
The manga received animated segments within the anime adaptation of Arawi's Nichijou manga. Helvetica Standard is a manga that exists in-universe for the Nichijou characters, and some chapters of Helvetica Standard feature Nichijou characters.
Vertical is also releasing Nichijou in English, and shipped the sixth volume last month.
