2015 Dragon Ball Film's Hollywood Premiere Hosts Goku's Voice Actress, Director

North American anime distributor Funimation confirmed on Wednesday that the Hollywood premiere and red carpet event for Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection 'F' (Dragon Ball Z: Fukkatsu no F) will host Goku's Japanese voice actress Masako Nozawa and the film's director Tadayoshi Yamamuro. The event at the Egyptian Theatre will also host English voice actors Sean Schemmel (Goku) and Chris Sabat (Vegeta) this Saturday.
Funimation's Justin Rojas and voice actor Johnny Yong Bosch will hold a fan appreciation event and gathering with prizes, one hour before the 11:00 a.m. red carpet event. The Egyptian Theatre will then screen the film in Japanese with English subtitles at noon.
Funimation plans to release the film in more theaters with an English dub this summer.
Dragon Ball manga creator Akira Toriyama is personally credited with the original concept, screenplay, and character designs of the new movie. Dragon Ball Z animation director Tadayoshi Yamamuro is directing the new movie. Pop idol group Momoiro Clover Z is (Sailor Moon Crystal, Bodacious Space Pirates) performing the film's theme song, as well as voicing "angels" of hell who reside where the protagonist Son Goku's enemy Frieza has been imprisoned.
