April 19th, 2024 - Japanese rapper SANTAWORLDVIEW released a two-track single "COWBOY'S LIFE (TOO GOOD TOO BAD)" & "Honest / Feeling Good (Piano Black)".
Known for his technical and flexible rap flow and lyrics with just the right amount of sense of humor, SANTAWORLDVIEW is an upcoming Japanese rapper based in Tokyo well known by Japanese hip hop fans from multiple appearances as a featuring artist in tracks such as “BOUNCE” by Leon Fanourakis, “JET MODE” by DJ CHARI & DJ TATSUKI and many more. His name got on the map after joining a Japanese hip hop based competition reality show “A Rap Star is Born (Rap Star Tanjyo)” and joining major freestyle rap battles in Tokyo.
Jazzy and mysterious, “COWBOY'S LIFE (TOO GOOD TOO BAD” and “Honest / Feeling Good (Piano Black)” include arrangements from soundtracks of popular Japanese anime series ”Cowboy Bebop,” which is SANTAWORLDVIEW's all-time favorite anime series since he was a teenager.
Notably, the original songs are composed by the well-known Yoko Kanno, a familiar name among anime fans. Yoko Kanno has worked on numerous anime series and has captivated anime fans worldwide with her innovative approach.
The arrangements of these classic songs were done by Australian producer Taka Perry and an upcoming pop band based in Tokyo called AWSM. "Honest / Feeling Good (Piano Black)" features piano performances by Mahiru Coda, also known as a pop singer who recently released a new single “Love Je T'aime” which is also the ending theme for new anime series “Bucchigiri?!”.

Red Moons is an Amsterdam based music video production and creative team that has produced countless videos for artists in Netherlands such as Lusho, Josylvio, etc. Their talent expanded their careers to make videos for artists from all over the world such as Tory Lanez, King Promise from Ghana, Yurufuwa Gang from Japan, and many more.

Based in Japan, SANTAWORLDVIEW began his artist career in 2015. After actively participating in freestyle battles, he released his 1st EP “7 Deadly Sins (Nanatsu No Daizai)” in 2018, followed by his 2nd EP "WORLDVIEW" on SoundCloud.
In 2019, he appeared on a hip-hop-based competition reality show called “A Rap Star is Born (Rap Star Tanjyo),” which drew the attention of Japanese hip-hop fans to his rap skills and unique character. He then immediately released his 3rd EP "What Just Happened?" and one of the tracks, “Pink Juice,” gained popularity in clubs. As he began to gain more attention, his career took off after being featured in Leon Fanourakis' most popular track, "BOUNCE." He also gained recognition as a fashion icon, modeling for streetwear brands and being featured in the fashion magazine NYLON JAPAN.
In January 2020, he released his 1st album "Sinterklass." He raps on both trap and boom-bap-style tracks - his flexible flow and unique lyrics received acclaim, leading to collaborations with various producers and rappers, featuring in over 10 songs in a year. In October, he released his 4th EP "IKIGAI" and shortly after released the single "Hannibal Lecter." In June 2021, SANTAWORLDVIEW released his 5th EP "IKIGAI 2,” which included not only rap but also melodious tracks with autotune, further expanding his musical range. In August of the same year, he collaborated with beatmaker DJ BULLSET and released a collaborative EP "IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD."
In December 2021, he signed with the hip-hop label ONEPERCENT and released the single "REQUIEM" on Christmas day. In March 2022, SANTAWORLDVIEW released his second album "I'M THE ONE" and embarked on his first club tour, ending it with great success at Japan's most famous hip-hop club, CLUB HARLEM.
In 2023, he released collaborative works "XEONWORLDVIEW" and "XEONWORLDVIEW DELUXE" with Leon Fanourakis and producer Xansei. Their final show, “XEONWORLDVIEW SPACE TRIP 2023," held at Shibuya Spotify O-East in July, was a huge success with sold-out tickets.
Recently, he has been expanding the scope of his activities, participating in MC battle events such as “Gaisen MC Battle" and also made appearance on Japanese freestyle competition show “Nihon Toitsu.”
