Retro Style Horror RPG 'Cthulhu Mythos RPG -The Sleeping Girl of the Miasma Sea-' English ver. is Released on DLsite.com and Steam

September 26, 2018, TOKYO JAPAN – The English translated version of independent developer AchemyBlue's Lovecraftian horror inspired work "Cthulhu Mythos RPG -The Sleeping Girl of the Miasma Sea-" is out today. It is available for sale on both DLsite.com and Steam.

Developer Comment:

"We would like to thank everyone for their support of 'Cthulhu Mythos RPG -The Sleeping Girl of the Miasma Sea-'. With your help, we were able to translate the game into English.

The feeling and atmosphere that the Cthulhu Mythos universe conveyed to us was like a flash in the dark. A brilliant spark of inspiration which led to the conception of this Retro styled J-RPG.

We sincerely hope that you will all enjoy the nostalgic pixel art, kindering feelings of days gone by... The battles, the exploration and of course the Lovecraftian horror!"

Publisher Comment:

“Lovecraft meets Japanese RPG in this retro styled take on the Cthulhu Mythos. Design your character as your own alter-ego and step up to the challenge of horrors from the beyond! We must tell you that the translator's "SAN" parameters surely took a steep dive in the process of bringing you all this great game.

While the story is somewhat frightening... as you proceed to unravel the mysteries of the mansion, you will find yourself being drawn deeper and deeper into the world of this RPG. That being said, if you're ever finding all the terror and mystery to be cramping your style, you can always take a break. We found the companions to be a unique bunch of personalities that are great fun to just hang out and have a good old chat with.

Being a retro style game, the character limit was highly restricted and a necessity for concise wording and abbreviation was key to fitting the original nuance into the English version. We hope you all enjoy the effort put into this translation!”
