posted on by Karen Ressler
CAPCOM announced on Wednesday that it will release Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney for Nintendo 3DS via the Nintendo eShop this November for US$19.99. The 3DS version will have updated artwork, the added option to skip text, and the option to play either the Japanese or English version of the game.
In Japan, CAPCOM will release a physical version of the game for Nintendo 3DS on November 22. The company will also release a box set of all six main Ace Attorney games on the same day in Japan.
Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney, the fourth game in the Ace Attorney series, originally debuted as a Nintendo DS game in Japan in 2007 and CAPCOM released an English version in 2008. The game was the first of the main Ace Attorney games to not star Phoenix Wright.; it instead features his younger protégé Apollo Justice. The game also received a port for iOS and Android smartphones in December 2016.
CAPCOM released the first three Ace Attorney games — Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney − Justice for All, and Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney − Trials and Tribulations — in a combo pack for Nintendo 3DS in 2014. The most sixth and most recent game in the main series, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Spirit of Justice (Gyakuten Saiban 6), shipped in Japan in June 2016, and CAPCOM released the game digitally in North America and Europe in September.
