Animal Crossing bundle includes 1st non-XL New Nintendo 3DS system in N. America

Nintendo announced on Monday that it will offer a bundle with a regular-sized, non-XL New Nintendo 3DS system and the Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer game in North America on September 25. This will be the first time that Nintendo will offer a non-XL New Nintendo 3DS system in North America. Aside from the system itself and the Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer game, the bundle will also include two cover plates and one Amiibo card for US$219.99.

Nintendo previously only offered the larger New Nintendo 3DS XL (known as the LL in Japan) in North America.

The Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer Nintendo 3DS game lets a player become a home designer for Nook's Homes (Tanuki Housing) and customize houses for the animals. Nintendo released the game in Japan on July 30, and will release the game in North America on September 25, and in Europe on October 2.

Nintendo will also offer The Legend of Zelda-themed New Nintendo 3DS XL system as a Gamestop store exclusive on October 30. The "Hyrule Edition" system will retail at US$199.99.

Nintendo will release its The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes Nintendo 3DS game in North America and Europe on October 23.
