Pokémon Announces Official Baby, Maternity Line for Older Fans

The Pokémon game franchise continues to make efforts to serve both its new fans and its and its aging original fanbase. Part of this effort is evident in its merchandising by continuing to acknowledge the original 151 monsters that fans fell in love with and new items of each successive generation. The first generation players are very easily in their 30s or older by now and may have built families of little monsters of their very own.
Pokémon's newest merchandise brand Monpoke is meant to appeal to parents that want to deck out their kids in cute Pokémon gear or want official maternity wear for themselves.
The Monpoke brand is collaborating with established babywear and maternity designers at Inujirushi, Nanoblock toymaker Kawada, baby product maker Combi Corporation, SEGA Toys, and stuffed animal manufacturer Sekiguchi.
Monpoke will start releasing its product line in July. Many of the items will be available for browsing early at the Monpoke booth at the Maternity & Baby Festa 2019 event on April 6-7. Th event is Japan's largest maternity event.
