To continue the celebration of the 40th anniversary of Rumiko Takahashi's Urusei Yatsura manga, Japan Post unveiled a special framed stamp set last week. Naturally, Lum features predominately in the set's designs.
The framed stamp sheet includes 10 stamps. The set also bundles a daily calendar, stamp holder, and color illustration set for 4,500 yen (about US$40). Most post offices and Japan Post's website began accepting pre-orders on Wednesday. The special set is slated to ship beginning on December 3.
Japan Post regularly offers anime- and game-inspired stamps, including framed sets. For example, the postal service shipped a set for the Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Gaiden smartphone role-playing game in April.
Other celebrations for the Urusei Yatsura manga's 40th anniversary include an exhibit and a variety of merchandise.
