Attack on Titan Cover Album Charting in U.K.

The album Epica vs. Attack on Titan, in which the Dutch metal band Epica cover songs from Attack on Titan, is currently at number 3 in its first week in the Official Rock & Metal Albums Chart. The album is published by the label Nuclear Blast, and includes Epica's versions of the songs "Crimson Bow and Arrow", "Wings of Freedom", "Dedicate Your Heart" and "If Inside These Walls Was a House."

The album was previously released in Japan in December 2017. From the Nuclear Blast website: "Epica vs. Attack on Titan was recorded during the summer of 2017 at Sandlane Recording Facilities by Joost van den Broek. The original songs, which were influenced by the music of Epica, were composed by Revo of popular Japanese band Linked Horizon. For the EP, the tracks were adapted by Epica and produced by Joost van den Broek. The choir arrangements and scoring were completed by keyboardist Coen Janssen who also handled the orchestral arrangements with Joost van den Broek."
