Ever imagine yourself as a DigiDestined, or even as the Digimon Adventure anime's protagonist Tai? Although humanity has yet to develop a way to travel to the Digital World in reality, fans can at least get a full-size Partner Digimon to relive their childhood fantasies. The Digimon Adventure tri. anime film series is inspiring a life-size Agumon plush this year.
The Agumon plush sits about 45 centimeters (about 18 inches) tall. His gaping mouth is ready to shovel snacks into his stomach after telling Taichi he's hungry for the umpteenth time. Digimon designer Kenji Watanabe supervised the development of the plush.
The plush costs 8,100 yen (about US$76), and the Premium Bandai website is accepting pre-orders now. The pre-order period will remain open until May 7 or until the predetermined number of orders is reached. The plush is slated to ship in August.
Digimon Adventure tri.- Chapter 6: Our Future (Digimon Adventure tri. Bokura no Mirai), the sixth and final film in the series, will open in Japan on May 5 and will screen for three weeks.
