Robot Performer Sought for Ancien and the Magic Tablet Preview Screening
posted on by Eric Stimson
Kenji Kamiyama's new film Ancien and the Magic Tablet will have a preview screening with its cast on February 27. To prepare for the event, organizers are looking for someone interested in playing Hearts, a robot with a role in the film. Hearts will greet guests and appear on stage with the cast. The other job description is simply "napping."
The job is being advertised as a "dream nap job." No qualifications are necessary, and all ages and genders are welcome. All the organizers are looking for is someone who "wants to dream, is good at napping, wants to go on a journey to find the unknown me, [and/or] is sleep-deprived." (Ancien and the Magic Tablet is called "Nap Princess: The Story of the Unknown Me" in Japanese.) The position comes with tempting benefits: all transportation expenses will be paid (within Japan at least), the employee will get sleep aids (a pillow, earplugs, and an eyemask) and a 3 o'clock snack, and he or she will get to watch the movie and meet the cast. The pillow will even have cast autographs.
