RADWIMPS Release your name's "Sparkle (original ver.)"

The Japanese rock band RADWIMPS has released the music video for their song "Sparkle (original ver.)." The "movie version" of this song, unusually, was released first — in the hit film your name. While the music video is primarily a reedit of scenes from the film, it includes several new scenes, mostly shots of nature and the protagonists staring at hourglasses.

The music video will be released in a DVD with the limited first edition of RADWIMPS' upcoming album, Ningen Kaika ("Blooming Human"). The album will also include the movie versions of "Sparkle" and your name.'s theme song, "Zen-Zen-Zense" ("Past-Past-Past Life"). Its release date is November 23.

your name. has triumphed at the Japanese box office, earning 16.41 billion yen since its release on, thereby surpassing Ponyo and Avatar. It has gained so much attention that its settings have become pilgrimage sites and it has been regarded as marking the "end of an era" for anime. An American release is scheduled for the first quarter of 2017.
